Course Overview:
This training course equips the delegate with knowledge to conduct gas testing within confined spaces and awareness of associated confined space hazards. Delegates will also learn about relevant legislative requirements, gas measuring, monitoring equipment and documenting gas test results.
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of the course attendees will be able to:
- Understand the physical properties of gases e.g. Flashpoint, LEL, UEL and Auto Ignition temperature
- Understand the different gases of concern
- Have awareness of when and why gas testing is required
- Understand the need for correct selection, inspection and testing of gas testing equipment
- Conduct, interpret and document gas tests using calibrated equipment
